Twin City
Silver Bullet

Winston-Salem's coffee and ice cream, served out the window of a polished 1967 Airstream. The silver bullet you'll spot from across the lot.

We don't have an address. We have a schedule.

TWIN CITY SILVER BULLET
The Rig

A 1967 Airstream
Overlander, reborn.

Twenty-six feet of polished aluminum, stripped down to the shell and rebuilt as a working coffee and ice cream bar. The riveted skin and rounded end caps are pure 1967. Everything inside is brand new.

Step up through the door and you'll find a small, warm seating nook for the days we settle in for a few hours, an indoor counter where we take your order, and a service window on the side where the coffee and cream come out to the curb.

It's the kind of thing you'll spot from across a parking lot and walk toward without quite knowing why. That's the idea.

At the Factory

The Silver Bullet at the Airstream Factory.

Our 1967 Airstream Overlander is undergoing structural restoration at the Airstream Factory Service Center in Jackson Center, Ohio: new axles, new belly pan, and updated water and propane systems, ahead of its return to Winston-Salem.

The 1967 Airstream Overlander up on shop stands inside a service bay at the Airstream Factory Service Center, its polished aluminum shell reflecting the length of the shop.
The front of the Airstream raised on stands, with the trailer tongue and coupler supported by a jack and a boxed Dexter axle component resting on the frame rail.
The Airstream's front end with a window and lower side panel removed, and new galvanized sheet metal ducting and a white holding tank staged on the shop floor.
A three-quarter view of the Airstream's front from down the shop aisle, with openings in the shell where panels have been removed for the rebuild.
The underside of the Airstream with the belly pan opened up, showing the frame resting on stands and a newly fitted axle hub and wheel.
A section of the Airstream's polished shell marked off with green tape and labeled by hand for the placement of a Suburban water heater.
A long view down the polished curbside flank of the Airstream, riveted panels and windows running the length of the trailer.
Why We Roll

Every cup helps build a bridge home.

Twin City Silver Bullet™ is run by Twin City Veterans Bridge, a Winston-Salem nonprofit helping transitioning veterans build careers, ventures, and a place in this community.

The trailer is staffed in part by veterans from Veterans Helping Veterans Heal (VHVH), our local partner helping veterans rebuild their footing, and the profit from every coffee and every scoop goes back to that mission. Buy a latte, back a veteran. It's that direct.

Right now the Silver Bullet is off to the shop for new axles, a new bottom, and more, so it can roll for years to come. Want to help bring it back on the road? Every dollar puts veterans to work and carries the mission forward.
